Gua Sha is an ancient Chinese massage therapy. When giving Gua Sha massage practitioner uses one of the variety of Gua Sha tools (on the right) to gently scrap oil-lubricated skin to produce light petechiae. Gua sha releases unhealthy bodily matter like salts, toxins, etc from sored, tired, stiff or injured muscles and stimulates new oxygenated blood flow to the areas. This promotes metabolic cell repair, regeneration, healing and recovery.

And it feels a lot better than it looks 🙂 Also pain level can always be adjusted to patient’s tolerance level.

Patient may experience discomfort couple days after getting Gua Sha, but it goes away pretty quickly and healed muscles start working as they should, so benefits far outweight temporary discomfort.
